Floral

When I think about painting by memory and letting the actual texture of the pigments do the talking, this is the kind of painting I think about. There is something inside me that is always trying to complicate things (this work in particular is still too detailed), and these works are the way I use to fight that impulse.

I especially like these "raw" paintings because they reflect a part of my work I wished I'd showcased more. Pristine, detailed and realistic work is technically impressive, but the audacity of saying more things with less elements is always something worth pursuing.
